With a grant from the community foundation, we targeted this corner building eye sore on the corner of Poplar St. and 2nd St. in downtown Macon. We have been working to strip the brick down to the original look. The process has been labor and time intensive, but we are starting to see results. At least 20 layers of paint has been brushed on this building over the years! Our next phase will be working with the owner to install new doors and windows and paint the trim to create a bulding ready for a business to move into.
